We are pleased to be a part of the DIR Cooperative Contracts program. Our group provides Dragon speech-recognition products for PCs, along with maintenance and support, installation, and training services. Dragon not only provides increased access to persons with disabilities, but is a powerful productivity tool for anyone who produces large amounts of text or fills out forms. We carry the Professional and Legal editions, as well as versions designed for larger groups who require network tools.

All warranties are provided through the manufacturer. Opened software cannot be returned except for cases of defective discs, which will be replaced with the a new copy of the same item. Professional services are governed by applicable statement of work.

Dragon speech recognition software allows users to produce text by talking to their computers with a microphone. It is an ideal solution for disabled employees or for those who suffer from carpal tunnel syndrome or RSI (repetitive stress injury) – plus it can prevent those maladies and the accompanying lost workdays, medical bills, and worker’s compensation costs. Its primary purpose, however, is to boost productivity by allowing employees to dictate text – which is three times faster than typing – and automate their workflows through the use of macros, which allow the completion of repetitive tasks through the use of simple voice commands, replacing several or even dozens of keystrokes and mouse-clicks.

Two editions of Dragon are available: Professional and Legal. The Professional version has an extensive vocabulary (in English, though other language versions are available), to which users can add words, acronyms, and industry terms. The Legal version has a vocabulary which contains hundreds of legal terms and formatted citations.

Both the Professional and the Legal editions come in both Individual and Group versions. They are identical except that the Group version contains network tools which allow roaming user profiles and central management of custom commands and vocabularies.

Please note that the Professional and Legal versions do not come with microphones, although these can be ordered by contacting the vendor or purchased elsewhere.
